Lumber species such as Ponderosa Pine, Sugar Pine, Cherry Black Walnut, Basswood, Hickory, Knotty Alder, Poplar, Soft Maple, Hard Maple, Birch, White Oak, Red Oak and Ash are available as hardwood. The species come in different thickness according to their individual strengths. We take the time to explain the differences in measuring softwood, like pine and hardwood like maple, so that you would know the exact dimensions of before you buy hardwood products.
Hardwood and softwood lumber comes in thicknesses ranging from as thin as 25/32” to as thick as 8/4”. Plywood, on the other hand, is available at a minimum of 1/8” thick to a maximum of 3/4” thick. There are many species of plywood available at our location. Apart from plywood and hardwood, we at Gaydon Wholesale Lumber Inc. provide supporting products which may have to be used with the lumber.
